Forest Stewardship Council®
Andhra Paper, one of the largest manufacturers of Pulp and Paper in India, has been awarded the coveted Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®), Chain-of-Custody Certificate during the year 2010, for its responsible fiber sourcing for manufacture of pulp and paper. This is yet another milestone for the Andhra Paper Limited in its journey towards Sustainability, conservation of natural resources, Protection of environment and contribution to society. With the award of FSC chain of custody certification. The Andhra paper has established itself as one of the companies in the world supporting responsible forestry practices and highest social and Environmental values.
Chain-of-Custody certification guarantees that wood is coming from known legal sources or responsibly managed forests. FSC chain of custody allows credible tracking of FSC material from the fiber source, through all successive stages of the production process, to committed retailers and consumers. The certificate is awarded after stringent audit that establishes that fiber sourcing is done from known and legal sources and in accordance with standards that promote environmentally appropriate forest management.
The FSC label provides a credible link between responsible production and consumption of forest products, enabling consumers and businesses to make purchasing decisions that benefit people and the environment as well as providing ongoing business value.
Andhra Paper has successfully gone through their audits in yearly basis. From 2012 onwards the Kadiam unit had also got FSC -CoC certificate. To move further in the same line of responsible forestry and Sustainable forest resources management, Andhra Paper has started its process for FSC -FM (Forest Stewardship Council-Forest Management Certification). We have 25,583 ha. Area covered under FSC -FM certification scope for all the three species i.e. Casuarina, Eucalyptus and Subabul

Low-Cost Poly house fabricated for clonal plant production
Clonal Production process requires controlled environmental conditions particularly humidity and temperature. For the production of clones under controlled environmental condition mist chamber/ poly house structure is required. Normally mist chamber erected by professional fabricator which are costly as well as it requires lot of energy for maintenance.
Andhra Paper has adopted an innovative method of cloning through simple Low-cost poly house that can be established with low energy or power supply backup at even remote places. These are made by using polythene sheets and locally available supporting structure. The misting in these chambers is done by foggers attached with lateral pipes. Humidity is created by vapour produced through evaporation because of heat generated from natural sun light. This process creates adequate temperature and relative humidity inside poly house without using much energy resources to produce clones.
